72 Days left (10 weeks & 1 day) of my weight loss journey {Bikini prep 2023}

Wednesday’s Meals 1385 Calories

1385 calories, 130 g protein, 98 g carbs, 43 g fat

I pulled some old bottles of Skinny syrup out of storage today and added a raspberry one my oatmeal at breakfast, and a vanilla almond one to my protein/yogurt bowl. I forgot how many flavors I owned!!

Hot tip: You can sometimes find the Skinny Syrup brand at Ross or TJ Maxx! And, if you just want some sugar free coconut or raspberry, you can usually find it in the Torani brand. The Torani, while convenient cause they sell it at the grocery store, usually costs more than ordering Skinny Syrup online. (you can get 10% off with my code HEALTHBEET)

Top 11 Weight Loss Bloggers To Follow

Before Health Beet, I actually started blogging in 2007 about healthy kids. I loved blogging when blogs were a diary web log and you could really get to know a person through their writing and pictures.

Fast forward 16 years, and the original bloggers who blogged about their struggles and triumphs regarding weight loss are hard to find. Most have turned to social media to share their journey. While I think social media is a great place to share, I actually prefer blogs because you can consume the content on YOUR schedule, and not be a slave to the algorythm!

So, I set out to look for any bloggers who wrote about their weight loss AND were actively posting to a blog. The following 10 bloggers are my favorite weight loss bloggers!

  1. Eating bird food – Brittany lost 20lbs, but I love her site for her recipes! I’ve been following Brittany since the very earliest days of blogging. Because her site is so old, she’s got a TREASURE trove of healthy recipes to choose from.
  2. Runs for Cookies- With weekly weigh ins still posted to her blog, Katie has lost 125 lbs and maintains her blog actively!
  3. The Holy Mess– Sara has lost 100lbs and blogs about weight loss and a faith based approach.
  4. Organize yourself Skinny– Tammy has lost 40 lbs and she’s a very active blogger! I also connected with Tammy back when I had my kids nutrition blog, and I’ve been following her ever since.
  5. Simply Nourished Living– a long time member of weight watchers, and an avid blogger, Martha is fun to follow. She shares loads of weight loss success stories as well.
  6. Primal Potential– I consider Elizabeth Benton the OG of weight loss blogging. Popular for her podcast, and best selling book, Chasing Cupcakes, Elizabeth is relatable, fun, and inspirational! Oh, and she’s lost 150lbs!
  7. Masala Body Nagina lost 40lbs and has some great recipes and advice for weight loss
  8. Leizel Jayne – Lost 40lbs and very active on Youtube!
  9. Low Carb Love – Lost 135 lbs through low carb/keto
  10. Skinnyfitalicious– Meg has lost 80lbs and not only blogs about weight loss, but has a podcast too.
  11. and the #1 weight loss blog you should all read- MY BLOG!! If you haven’t read my weight loss story yet, check it out here.

That’s my current list! Who am I missing here?

Great, easy recipes really help and surprisingly I recently read a fiction book about a TV personality that was forced to lose weight and this fun book (Once Upon a Time in Beverly Hills) helped me relax a bit and get less stressed out about weight and realize that my weight loss will not be a magic bullet to a miracle life – of course, it will help my health but not be the be all and end all I’ve always thought it would be!
