Easy Strawberry Spinach Salad with Pecans and Feta
This salad has been a crowd favorite for as long as I can remember, and it recently made another appearance at my daughter’s baby shower. It disappeared fast (as it always does), and by the end of the party my niece was already texting me asking for the recipe.

So here it is, for her and for anyone else who wants to add this one to their regular rotation!
There’s something about the combination of fresh baby spinach, juicy strawberries, salty feta, and sweet glazed pecans that just works every single time. Toss it all together with a homemade poppyseed dressing and you’ve got a salad that somehow manages to steal the show at every gathering…showers, potlucks, holidays, you name it.
One thing about the glazed pecans. I used to make these myself! (see this spinach citrus recipe here). But while I was shopping for this baby shower, I found glazed pecans at Trader Joe’s! They are so much tastier!! Plus, less butter and sugar than my homemade kind.
Then, I was shopping at my neighborhood grocery store (Associated foods), and they had a generic version of the glazed pecans, that were just as tasty!! So, I’m not sure if I’ll ever make my own glazed pecans again. (I’ll still make my cinnamon coated almonds every Christmas though!)
Why You’ll Love This Salad
- It’s a crowd-pleaser. I genuinely cannot remember a time I’ve made this and had leftovers.
- It comes together fast. No cooking required (well, unless you’re making your own glazed pecans). Just chop, toss, and dress.
- The dressing makes it. Sweet, tangy, and just a little bit nutty from the poppyseeds. It’s the perfect match for the fresh spinach and strawberries.
- It looks beautiful. Bright greens, deep reds, and flecks of white and gold make this a gorgeous addition to any table.
