About this Strawberry Cheesecake Protein CREAMi recipe

These recipes are from Clean Simple Eats, but I made one change to ALL of them. They have you adding 2 tablespoons milk on a re-spin to get the ice cream creamy, but you don’t have to do that if you put your ice cream on the counter for 15 minutes. It’s smooth and creamy EVERY TIME on my FIRST spin. If it’s crumbly, you can add more liquid, but that also means it wasn’t thawed enough (My ICE CREAM EXPERT OPINION!!)

What you’ll need for this Strawberry Cheesecake Protein CREAMi

  1. 2% Milk – You can really use any milk you want but this is my preference for a good healthy balance without sacrificing creaminess

  3. Strawberries – Perfect timing as they are red and juicy for the summer
  4. Whipped Cream – This is for the toppings and it adds a delicious fluff on top of the ice cream for not too many calories
  5. Graham Crackers – Also just for topping so not necessary but makes a big difference in taste AND texture! It is like the crust to your cheesecake!

Toppings

  • 4 tbsp spray whipped cream
  • 2 graham crackers crumbled

Instructions

  • 1. Add the milk and the protein powder to a Ninja® CREAMi® jar. Froth until smooth. Cover and freeze overnight.
  • 2. Remove the container from the freezer and let it slightly thaw for 15 minutes. Add the jar to the Ninja® CREAMi® Ice Cream Maker and spin on “Lite Ice Cream.”
  • 3. Remove and create a hole in the center of the ice cream with a spoon. Add the strawberries to the center. Return to the Ninja® CREAMi® Ice Cream Maker and spin on “Mix-Ins.”
  • 4. Split into two servings and add two tablespoons of whipped cream and one crumbled graham cracker on each serving. Enjoy!
