Easy Greek Yogurt Pizza Crust {2 ingredients, no yeast!}
This 2 ingredient Greek Yogurt pizza crust could not be easier! Combining Self-rising flour with Greek yogurt can make you anything from pizza crust to biscuits, flat breads, and even bagels. You’ll be making this recipe often!
As I try to add more protein to my diet, to maintain my weight loss, I am never without Greek yogurt! {read about my weight loss story here} Greek yogurt is one of my DAILY go-to protein sources, and it never gets old to me. (Go here for my list of my favorite protein foods)
So, I was definitely intrigued when I saw other food bloggers making breads and pizza crusts with Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Could it really be that easy? I found:
Although the recipes vary a tiny bit in ingredient amount, the biggest difference is how you form your dough.
For pizza crust, it’s only necessary to roll it out as thin as possible! I’ve made pizza crust this way a few times, but it wasn’t until I was able to roll it out thinly that I was happy with the results.
So, if you want to make this pizza crust, I used:
- 1 cup self rising flour.
- 2/3 cup nonfat Greek yogurt.
The self-rising flour, is just regular, all-purpose flour with a leavening agents, like baking powder and salt. You can also make your own self-rising flour. I found a recipe at Sally’s Baking Addiction here.
For the Greek yogurt, I always choose non-fat, plain Greek yogurt (the Kirkland brand is the creamiest!). But you can certainly make this recipe with regular Greek yogurt.
Back to the directions.. Mix the dough well. Really get your hands in there and knead it until all the moisture is incorporated into the flour. After 3-4 minutes, turn the dough onto a floured surface.
Then, with a little extra self-rising flour on your counter, roll the dough out to about 1/4 – 1/2 inch if you can.
At this point, I transferred the dough onto a cookie sheet. After this, something no one usually does, but I LOVE the flavor, I sprayed my dough with butter flavored cooking spray, and sprinkled some course salt onto it.
THIS WAS A GAME CHANGER! I love the crispy dough on the edges with the buttery, salty flavor! This is optional, but totally worth it.
Then, I baked the pizza crust dough in the oven for 400 degrees for about ten minutes.
Then, add your toppings! For the pizza in the photo, to keep it low calorie, and low fat, I combined:
- 4 tablespoons fat free cream cheese.
- 2 ounces fat free mozzarella cheese
- 1 ounce Parmesan Cheese
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 3 small artichoke hearts, chopped.
I love this recipe for pizza crust, because it literally can be ready in just a few minutes. I spent 5 minutes mixing the dough, and 10 minutes cooking the crust.
If you split the pizza into 8 slice, 1 slice of the crust gives you, 63 calories, 12 grams Carbohydrates, and 4 grams of protein.
I’d love to hear if you try to make this pizza crust, or if you try the recipe for any other breads!

I didn’t fully read the recipe and put the toppings on and put it in the oven. Waiting now to see what I get.
It should be fine Stephanie! Let me know how it goes though!
How big is slice? How many slices for this recipe?
1/8 th of the pizza is 1 slice. So, 4 slices on one half and four on the other!
Can you use a gluten-free flour? I love this idea, but need a gluten-free option.
It should work Melissa- but I haven’t tried it. Let me know if you do!
