How Long It Really Takes to Lose Weight

| | |

𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅!!
20 days of counting and measuring everything, and I finally saw the scale drop this morning.

Almost three full weeks to lose 2 lbs.

Although it’s only a two pound drop from the day I start officially “prepping”, it honestly started long before that.

Back in November, my weight got to 117, which is when I decided to start tracking more cautiously, as I was creeping into the 120’s again, and I didn’t want that to happen. (read the start of that attempt to lose 10lbs here)

I really never quit, although I was a bit more relaxed through the holiday’s and a cruise in January. So, technically, I’ve lost 6 lbs since November (4 months, which is just over 1 lb per month). I’m pretty happy with that, and I FEEL amazing!

I knew it would be slow to get going, because I was already dialed in pretty well. But that didn’t change the fact that I started to get discouraged the last few days. If you saw my Monday’s post, I was definitely ready to give up

Even though I preach every day, consistency is all the matters. Don’t put drama around the scale and decide “this isn’t working”. Don’t automatically assume, “It’s been 3 weeks, my body must be broken”. All these things I preach, yet I found myself thinking them ALL!!!

But, here we are, almost 3 weeks in, and down 2 lbs! I really needed this win to keep my motivation up!

1400 calorie day macro meals High protein

Anyway- enough babbling, here’s my meals from yesterday!

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓: 1 egg, 1/2 cup egg whites, 1/2 ounce cheese, mushrooms. And, I started with 2 pieces of toast (the 110 calorie bread), and then after breakfast I ate one more! Dang!!

𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐒 What I eat in a day (Bikini prep 2023)
1412 calories, 133 g protein, 138 g carbs, 41 g fat

𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇: I’m out of lettuce, otherwise I like to have salad for lunch. But, this was good too. A full 200 grams of cauliflower rice, ground turkey, broccoli, and then the BEST part- I mixed 2 tablespoons of the Costco Street Corn Dip into it for flavor! YUM

𝐒𝐍𝐀𝐂𝐊: Plain yogurt with walden farms caramel dip

𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑: OK_ this was GREAT! I tried making a single serving ‘chicken parmesan’. I cooked chicken earlier in the day, so I pulled off some pieces, topped it with spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese, then put it under the broiler for a minute to melt the cheese. I think it was DIVINE! I had this with sweet potato and broccoli.
