To start this strawberry shortcake remake, I used the Heart Smart Bisquick, instead of Original Bisquick. To be completely honest, I just had some Heart Smart Bisquick in my cupboard. I must have fallen for the healthy marketing on the box, because a complete analysis of the original Bisquick and the Heart Smart shows almost zero difference!

What the heck? Am I the only one that thinks this is misleading?
Well, it is what it is. I used Heart Smart Biquick baking mix, but feel free to use the original if you have it.
The three ingredients for the shortcake
Similar to the other two ingredient baked goods I’ve been making by combining self-rising four and Greek yogurt, this is the same idea. It’s just the baking mix and Greek yogurt, but I added some zero calorie monk sugar to sweeten it up.
I used equal parts
- Heart Smart Bisquick (𝟏𝟒𝟎 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞s)
- and nonfat plain Greek Yogurt (𝟓𝟎 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬)
- And a small amount of the zero calorie sugar.
And that’s it for the shortcake! Of course, add strawberries (or another fruit) and cool whip if you wish.
