How to make these Low Carb Crepes
After seeing some YouTubers share their love for the product MuscleEgg flavored egg whites, I really wanted to try it myself. It’s actually a local company, and we even have it in local stores. However, the cost has kept me from giving it a try. A gallon of the MuscleEgg egg whites are usually $37 on their website, or $45 from Amazon! Right now, I’m getting my egg whites at Costco for half that price.
So, like I’ve done before when I’m too cheap to buy the real thing, I try to recreate it at home. A quick search of the MuscleEgg label showed the cake batter flavored egg whites contained: Pasteurized cage free egg whites, less than 2% of: natural flavors (dextrose, natural flavors), KX-ED (konjac gum, xanthan gum), sucralose (source)
Ingredients for Low Carb Birthday Cake Crepes
Seemed easy enough! So, this is what I used to make my own flavored egg whites:
- Egg whites
- Cake batter flavoring
- xantham gum
- monkfruit sugar
- Sprinkles
Once I whisked those ingredients together, I just poured on a hot skillet. Sprinkled the eggs with sprinkles, and cooked on both sides till it was finished.
Then, of course, I filled it with whipped topping and more sprinkles.
I love that I was able to make these low carb crepes! What else would you use these flavored egg whites to make?
