11 Healthy Christmas Appetizers

|

The Christmas season is a time for favorite appetizers & foods, parties and celebrations with all your friends and family.

I can’t believe how fast Christmas is approaching. Thanksgiving is just a couple of days away and it has me thinking all about my favorite holiday happenings. Almost all of these events are centered on food, whether that be a social gathering or a family meal featuring many appetizers, dinner items and desserts.

The thing I struggle with around the holidays, is how can I eat everything and not gain all the weight? It is hard to not over indulge on all the good. We all want to be able to partake of all the delicious foods, but don’t want the pounds that come with it. This can be so hard.

My number one tip is not to tell yourself you can’t eat something, but eat things in moderation. Eat one cookie instead of all 6 different cookies. Eat fresh veggies, instead veggies soaked in butter etc. Find things that can be a delicious alternative that still allows you to enjoy all the foods you love.

Listed here are 11 of my favorite appetizers that are delicious and healthy.

  1. Turkey, Cheese and Pickle Wraps
  2. Christmas Charcuterie Board
  3. Holiday Hummus
  4. Sweet Potato and Guac Bites
  5. Balsamic Caprese Bites
  6. Tomato Basil Bruschetta Bites
  7. Protein Balls
  8. Deviled Eggs
  9. Shrimp Cocktail
  10. Zucchini Fritters
  11. Greek Dip and Fruit Kabobs

Over the next few weeks I am going to break each of these recipes down for you so that you can share them with your friends and family. You’re holiday appetizers will be the favorite appetizer around. Everyone will be coming to you for the recipes and even better you will be able to eat and not feel guilty!

Now who wants some great desserts to go along with these delicious appetizers?

Send me some of your holiday favorites and we will find a way to make them healthier for you or if they are already guilt free even better!
