To make this mug cake lower in calories, I measured out the amount of cake mix it would take to keep the calories under 100. It turned out, with a standard cake mix, to be 2 tablespoons.
I also used egg whites instead of a whole egg to save calories.
The final cake came in at just 100 calories! Of course, I added strawberries and whipped cream, but you can add any toppings you like. Even fruit and yogurt would taste great, or drizzle some warm chocolate on top.
Practicing portion control is the only way to get good at it. And the more often you can eat just one cookie, or just one mug cake, the better you’ll get at eating just one, even if there are more around.

- 2 tbsp yellow cake mix
- 1 tbsp egg whites
- 1 tbsp water
- Spray a small mug with cooking spray.
