How to make homemade apple chips:

I attempted making apple chips in my air fryer toaster oven. And while the edges crisped up a bit, the full apple ring never seemed to really hit that crispy spot, without burning. BUT- I didn’t care! This apple- cinnamon treat really hit the spot! It tasted like apples from apple pie. Soft and warm, with caramelized, crispy sugar! The great thing about them was how quick they were to make as well.
For years, my husband and I have been dipping apple rings in cinnamon sugar and putting them in the dehydrator. They are the perfect fall adventure food. We always take them on a river rafting trip we do in the fall.
But, they take 12 hours to make!
These in my air fryer- 12 MINUTES!
