    The Broccoli patties are made with broccoli and Parmesan, and held together with one egg. Make the entire recipe for yourself, or to share!

    If you haven’t tried a variety of ways to eat your vegetables, you are missing out on some DELICIOUS variations. From roasted, steamed, baked, fried, and fresh, and even made into a broccoli patty, broccoli can taste very different depending on how you prepare it.

    How many calories are in broccoli patties?

    Depending on how you cook them, broccoli patties can be with calories or light! To keep things light, I only used three ingredients here. Riced broccoli, parmesan cheese, and an egg.

    To further keep calories down, these are simply cooked in a non-stick skillet with some cooking spray. They are not deep fried!

    With those two things, this entire recipe clocks in at 130 calories. So, feel free to eat it ALL yourself! I portioned it into three patties however, so each patty was 43 calories, but had a whopping 3 grams of protein EACH!

    What is riced broccoli?

    Like riced cauliflower, you can purchase broccoli already chopped up into tiny pieces. I get it in the frozen veggie aisle at the grocery store.

    You can absolutely “rice” your own broccoli, just by chopping it up in a food processor. The reason I like the frozen veggie option is that you can keep it in your freezer for whenever the mood strikes to make broccoli patties. I will often purchase a head of broccoli, and then never get around to making it. So, it honestly just saves me money to buy it this way, and then I’m not left with spoiled broccoli in my fridge.

    • 1 cup riced broccoli
    • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese, shredded
    • 1 medium egg


    • Using a bag of frozen, riced broccoli, cook in microwave for 1-3 minutes to thaw. Squeeze liquid out of bag.
    • Combined cooked riced broccoli with egg and parmesan cheese
    • Form a patty with the broccoli mix, and grill on a skillet on both sides until cooked.
