You need to try this Black Eyed Pea Salsa!
Re-named by my daughter as “crack salsa”, this chip dip has been a staple for my kids growing up, and they still make it as adults to this day. Since my family loves it so much, I felt I should share it on here too!
The best time to make it of course, is in the summer, when tomatoes and avocados are fresh and ripe!
Not only is this recipe super tasty and low calorie, but it’s also really easy to make. With just 4 ingredients, you can create this dish that is perfect for a picnic, pool party, backyard barbecue, or any other gathering.
This week, I made “crack salsa” for Sunday dinner at our home, and it was a big hit! (As always)
But, to create a low cal swap for the chips, this week I sliced up a low carb tortilla, sprayed with cooking spray and sprinkled with salt. Then baked for a few minutes till crispy! It was so good! I’m already not a fan of corn chips, but I’m addicted to flour tortillas, so this was perfect for dipping!
So, try making this black eyed pea salsa and let me know how you decide to serve it!
