Fun fact- My first job as a teenager was at Orange Julius at the mall (in 1991!) I remember juicing boxes and boxes of oranges at the beginning of my shift, and I drank a LOT of Orange Julius shakes!
Fast forward to today, and I’m still drinking them. Except with protein powder – of course!!
How to make an Orange Julius Protein Shake
Ingredients:
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used Clean Simple Eats protein powder for this shake. My affiliate link has 10% off if you want to try it)
- *8 ounces orange juice
The only equipment you need for this is a high powered blender and liquid measuring cup (or 1 cup measuring tool)! Measure out your ingredients and pour them into the blender. Then, blend with ice and enjoy your healthy, protein packed drink!! It’s so easy and yummy.
PLUS it has 22 grams protein!! ** Clean simple eats protein powder discount code: AMYROSKELLEY
I know there are some orange flavored protein powders out there, but I haven’t tried one with this recipe. If you do, let me know the brand of protein powder you used and if you liked it or not!

I just bought the Clean Simple Eats variety pack to try to find a protein powder I like. How much is one scoop equal to? I know the samples are one serving…so 1/2 a serving??. I want to give this a try! Thanks.
Hi Sheila!
One serving (*either the scoop or the sample serving packets) is 33 grams!). It’s about 3 tablespoons when I measure it out.
what a genius idea and i couldn’t believe it had that much protein! It is perfect because I really need to up my protein intake
