Ok, do you have a Toaster oven yet?? Because these mini donuts cooked in about 4 minutes in the toaster oven, and I’m kind of obsessed!
How to make protein cinnamon donuts
But, onto the DONUTS! I made these mini donuts with a mini donut pan I grabbed at Hobby Lobby (similar to this one on Amazon). It fit perfectly in my Toaster oven, which is why I bought it.
Then, I mixed Kodiak mix with cinnamon, oil and the Monk Sweetener I found at Costco, and baked them. I’ve also used the Monk sweetener in my favorite low calorie pancakes here. You can of course do this in a real size oven, but in the toaster oven, it only took 4 minutes.
I started thinking of a million add-ins for these. But I started with cinnamon. My final recipe below. Next time, I’d like to do chocolate or peanut butter!

I made these 2 ways. one with oil and one batch with applesauce. both came out great.
your calorie count can not be right. Kodiak mix is 380 calories per cup. when added with oil and egg calories total per batch is around 700. divide that by 12 is 58 cal. how did you get 30 per donut ?
Looks like you’re right! When I found my calculations in MFP, it seems I entered 24 donuts for the serving size. I’ll have to make these one more time and see how many I get.
Thanks for the heads up!
What would they taste like if you just didn’t add the sweetener?
They’d be a bit bland, but I personally would still eat them!
Is there a healthier substitution for the vegetable oil?
I haven’t tried it yet with a different fat, but you can try melted coconut oil!
Can you use the gf kodiak cake mix for this recipe?
