This simple dough is so easy! When you combined just two ingredients; self rising flour with plain greek yogurt, you can make almost any kind of bread. I’ve already made:

How to make easy pretzel bite dough
The two ingredients you need for these easy pretzel bites include:
- Self rising flour. This eliminates the need for baking powder or salt, because it’s pre-sifted into your flour.
- And plain Greek yogurt. This provides both the liquid to make the dough, and the texture you want in a dough. I use nonfat plain, but you could use full fat too. I also like that it adds a bit of protein to the pretzels.
After you combine the two ingredients, than you can form it into pretzel bites by rolling out a thick rope and cutting 1 inch sections.
At this point, I like to arrange them on a baking sheet on parchment paper, and brush the tops with some light butter. This is optional, but it does give the pretzels a nice buttery flavor. And also, it helps for some course kosher salt to stick to the pretzels.
And that’s it! Bake them till the middle is cooked, and serve them with some mustard for dipping!

So I am making this today 😊 I followed your recipe (mostly). I had to use a little extra dusting of flour while rolling into ropes. I dipped the bites into a 1/4 cup baking soda, 4 1/2 cup boil water bath for about 20-30 seconds before baking because I wanted them to have more of the soft pretzel flavor/texture that I have obtained before when making soft pretzels with a non diet recipe. I also splurged and lightly brushed with real butter before baking instead of using a lower calorie butter flavored spray (maybe next time). They are baking now and they smell amazing 🤩 I did also need to add a few extra minutes to the cook time to get them a bit more browned. They just came out of the oven and they are pretty good, bite more dense than I thought they would be but overall it is a pretty fun-easy food to make. I’ll definitely make them again 😊 😊
Hey Nichole! Glad you tried them! There’s so many things you can make with yogurt and self-rising flour. It’s kind of cool!!
