Healthy Protein Ice Cream Recipe {Only 2 Ingredients!}

If you are like me and want more protein, but also want more dessert, you must try this healthy protein ice cream! It just has two ingredients. Protein powder and frozen bananas. I drizzled some almond butter on top for flavor, but that is totally optional!

To make this ice cream, I first froze a few bananas. I peeled them, cut them in half, and put them in a ziploc bag. After 1 day in the freezer, I took out one of the bananas, and threw it in my mini cuisinart with a scoop of protein powder. That’s it! No liquid and no other ingredients.

I blended the two until it was smooth. At this point, the ice cream was a bit runny because of the blending, so I put the finished blend back into the freezer. Not for very long. Maybe one hour or less. Just until it started to get more solid, but not too solid I couldn’t scoop it out.

I like using protein powder to increase the protein in regular recipes. I’ve used it to make these simple protein powder crepes, and these AMAZING Protein powder bars!
