Ingredients Needed For Pizza Chaffles
After spending years cooking for my family, I have decided that the best recipes are the ones you can make with ingredients you already have and that create the least number of dirty dishes. Who is with me?!
So naturally, I am a big fan of the fact that this recipe really only needs 5 ingredients and one cooking utensil: a mini waffle iron. And just to prove how simple this recipe really is, check out the ingredient list below.
- Egg
- Baby Pepperoni
- Low Calorie Pizza Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Italian Seasoning
Cooking Tips
- Spray the waffle maker – The last thing you want is for your chaffle to be falling apart as you try to pry it off of the waffle maker. To avoid this, simply use a light spay of cooking oil to coat both sides of the waffle iron before adding your egg mixture.
- For a crispy texture – In order to get a crispy texture, add your mozzarella cheese on last. This will put it right up against the hot waffle iron and give you a crispy cheese coating.
Equipment
- 1 can cooking oil spray
- Mini Waffle Maker
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp egg whisked
- 1/4 cup part skim mozzarella cheese
- 5 grams mini pepperonis
- 3 tsp tomato sauce
- 1 sprinkle italian seasoning
Instructions
- Combine mozzarella cheese with the egg. Spread into a mini waffle iron, sprayed with cooking spray.
- Spoon a small amount of tomato sauce on top. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and salt. Drop a few mini pepperoni’s to the top.
- Close the waffle lid and cook until cheese no longer sticks to the waffle iron. This might take a few minutes. You can open the lid to peak. If the cheese starts to come apart, let it cook longer. If the lid removes cleanly, it’s ready!
- Unplug it and then wait a few minutes before removing it from the waffle iron.
- Enjoy!
